TONEARM UPGRADES

An Audio Origami PU7 is an end-game tonearm, but that doesn't mean you can't upgrade it to the latest and greatest version.

Over the past two years, the PU7 has seen two significant developments: the option of a Titanium Arm Tube and the introduction of the Meta Material Arm Damping System (M.M.A.D.S) and we are now able to offer these developments to existing PU7 owners.

Titanium is much stiffer than aluminium and adds extra strength and rigidity. Our precision-tooled titanium armtube delivers more accuracy and more neutrality to your vinyl playback.

M.M.A.D.S is a tunnel embedded within the arm tube, made from a material that "floats" the internal cabling and reduces any resonance reaching the cables. The tunnel is suspended by ultra-thin flanges made from a material that rejects vibration. Unlike other damping methods, such as foam or rubber, M.M.A.D.S doesn't dull the sound. In fact, it lowers the noise floor so much that you experience more clarity and air from your records.
